Draft Thailand Patent Act Seminar
On 8 May 2025, TPAS hosted a full-day seminar titled “Perspectives on the Draft Patent Act,” bringing together a large and diverse group of participants from Thailand’s intellectual property community. The seminar focused on the latest proposed amendments to the Thai Patent Act and fostered timely, in-depth dialogue among patent agents, lawyers, engineers, corporate IP teams, academics, and policymakers.
💡 Sessions: The program was structured around four focused sessions: Invention Prosecution, Invention Legal & Others, Petty Patent & Design, and Overall and Comments. Each session explored the proposed changes from both practical and legal perspectives, offering attendees a clearer understanding of their potential impact on IP practice, enforcement, and strategy. Topics ranged from filing procedures and legal terminology revisions to design protection reform and the broader implications of the draft bill.

TPAS proudly hosted a transformative Patent E-Filing Workshop, attracting an impressive audience of over 75 attendees, with the majority comprising patent practitioners from leading Thai firms. This event, held on 28 September 2023, was a resounding success, shedding light on the intricacies of the e-filing system and exploring its practical consequences within the patent landscape.
